I'm a 33 year old game programming student at The Game Assembly in Stockholm. I started my working life as an actor, with several years of experience in the business. During 2024, I found myself thinking about what I had not yet given a try, and game development has always been something I've imagined myself working in.
I think the choices I've made in life have always been a product of choosing playfulness and joy in my career path. Game development and acting share so much and have an incredible amount of things in common — the playfulness, the storytelling, the sheer emotional impact a great piece of art can have on a person taking part in it. So here I am today, on a path I've always wanted to try, to be able to tell stories the way I grew up experiencing them, through games. Whether that's a story driven RPG or a game where you get to feel like a bigger part of something, I absolutely adore it.
Besides that, communication and teamwork is what I've grown up with, and I want to work with people who see that as the biggest gift when working in a team. Without it, no matter how hard you try, the joy and the result will suffer. When it comes to game programming, I'm particularly interested in tools and gameplay programming, and I find myself drawn to that border between design and programming, working closely with artists and designers to bring out the intended game feel. That said, I'm open for all opportunities and challenges!
That's all for me. Thank you for reading, and I hope to hear from you in the future. Take care!
